<p>To help you get the best out of Cardiff BMX Racing Club and to understand our responsibilities to you and your responsibilities to us, please read these terms and conditions.</p>
<p>Please remember that if you sign up to any of our sessions or groups, extra terms and conditions apply.</p>
<p>If you have any questions, a Club Official will be delighted to help you.</p>
<p>1. Introduction</p>
<p>These Membership Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern the relationship between Members (referred to as "Members," "you," or "your") and Cardiff BMX Racing Club (the "Club"). By becoming a Member, you agree to comply with these Terms and any future amendments. Please read them carefully.</p>
<p>2. Eligibility</p>
<p>Membership is open to all individuals who meet the following criteria:</p>
<ul>
<li>Aged 3 or older</li>
<li>Agree to abide by the Club’s rules and regulations</li>
<li>For under-18s, membership requires parental or guardian consent.</li>
</ul>
<p>3. Membership Application</p>
<ul>
<li>To apply for membership, you must complete and submit the online membership form, providing accurate information</li>
<li>Membership is subject to acceptance by the Club. The Club reserves the right to reject any application at its sole discretion</li>
<li>All new members are required to sign a waiver form acknowledging risk and agreeing to the Club’s liability terms.</li>

<p>4. Membership Fees<br><br>- Membership fees are payable annually and are non-refundable.<br>- The membership fee provides access to reduced fees for training sessions, races, and other Club activities as detailed on the Club’s Website, Social platforms, Club App or any other information material.<br>- The Club reserves the right to alter the membership fees at any time with notice provided to existing members.<br><br>5. Membership Benefits<br><br>As a Member, you will enjoy the following benefits:<br>- Access to Club training sessions and organized events.<br>- Eligibility to participate in Club races and competitions.<br>- Discounts on Club merchandise and events, if applicable.<br>- Access to Club facilities and coaching.<br>- Eligibility for regional, national, and international race opportunities, subject to specific criteria.<br><br>6. Code of Conduct<br><br>All Members must adhere to the Clubs Code of Conduct:<br>- Treat fellow members, coaches, volunteers, and officials with respect.<br>- Maintain sportsmanship and a positive attitude at all times.<br>- Ensure your conduct on and off the track does not bring the Club into disrepute.<br>- Comply with all rules and regulations of BMX Racing, the Club, Beicio Cymru and British Cycling.<br>- Use equipment and Club facilities responsibly.<br>- Respect the Club’s property and the property of others.<br>- Follow all safety instructions and wear appropriate protective equipment during training and events.<br><br>7. Health and Safety<br><br>- All Members must comply with health and safety guidelines and policies established by the Club.<br>- The Club strongly recommends that all Members undergo a medical check-up before participating in any BMX-related activities, particularly if they have any pre-existing medical conditions.<br>- You must notify the Club of any health or medical issues that may affect your ability to participate in BMX racing or training sessions.<br>- The Club is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that occurs during Club activities, except where it results from negligence or breach of duty by the Club.<br><br>8. Risk Acknowledgment<br><br>By participating in Club activities, Members acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with BMX Racing, including but not limited to injury, collision, or property damage. Members participate in events and training sessions at their own risk.<br><br>9. Parental Responsibility (For Under-18s)<br><br>- For Members under 18, a parent or guardian must complete and sign the membership application and assume responsibility for the safety, well-being, and conduct of the child while participating in Club activities.<br>- The parent or guardian must ensure the child is adequately supervised during all activities, both on and off the track.<br><br>10. Club Events and Competitions<br><br>- The Club organizes various training sessions, events, and competitions throughout the year.<br>- Members must register for specific events via the Club App or other Event Management Systems and may be required to pay entry fees in addition to their membership fees.<br>- The Club reserves the right to change or cancel events as needed and will provide adequate notice to all registered participants.<br>- Members must adhere to the specific rules of each event, including entry requirements and race formats.<br><br>11. Use of Club Property<br><br>- Members are responsible for the upkeep and appropriate use of any equipment, facilities, or property provided by the Club.<br>- Any damage to the Club’s property caused by negligence or misuse will be the responsibility of the Member, who may be asked to cover the cost of repairs or replacements.<br><br>12. Termination of Membership<br><br>The Club reserves the right to terminate or suspend any membership for reasons including, but not limited to:<br>- Breach of these Terms and Conditions.<br>- Serious misconduct or violation of the Club’s Code of Conduct.<br>- Failure to pay the membership fees on time.<br>- Any conduct deemed detrimental to the interests or reputation of the Club.<br><br>Termination of membership will result in the loss of all associated benefits, and no refund will be provided.<br><br>13. Data Protection<br><br>- The Club will handle all personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.<br>- By becoming a member, you consent to the Club collecting and processing your personal data for the purpose of administering your membership and informing you about Club activities.<br>- You have the right to request access to or correction of your personal data held by the Club.<br><br>14. Club Communications<br><br>The Club will communicate with Members via the Club App, email, website updates, social media platforms, and notices at the Club facilities. Members are encouraged to keep their contact details up to date.<br><br>15. Liability<br><br>- The Club’s liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. The Club will not be held responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage caused during participation in Club events or activities, except in cases of negligence.<br>- By becoming a Member, you acknowledge that you understand and accept the risks associated with BMX Racing and the activities provided by the Club.<br><br>16. Amendment of Terms<br><br>The Club reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes via email or Club communication channels. Continued participation in the Club after such amendments will be deemed acceptance of the updated Terms.<br><br>17. Governing Law<br><br>These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.<br><br>18.
